Jozsef Nagy

Jozsi, pronounced “Yo-jhee”, joined Friendship International in 1999. He works full-time as a carpenter and caretaker of “The Farm.” Although Jozsi was raised in Romania, he is ethnic Hungarian.

Jozsi's Testimony:

“I grew up in a small village in Romania and occasionally went to the Reformed church. I had no Christian friends. After serving two years in the army, I worked as a carpenter and then came to Hungary to find work. I worked for FI on several projects and was invited to attend a tent meeting where "A New Song" was singing. That night I realized that I needed Jesus Christ in my life and I could not go on without Him. I invited Him into my heart as my personal Savior and am very happy to be working with FI as a full-time missionary.”

Matthew Marshall
Matt, is one of our newest missionaries. He comes to us from Glenrothes, Scotland. He has been coming to Romania for the past 3 years on short term mission trips both in the summer and during other seasons of the year. The Lord has been speaking to him for some time about stepping out in faith and committing himself to service for an indefinite time. After A New Song's tour in Scotland in May of 2005, Matt sensed the Lord giving him specific direction to leave his job, leave his church and friends and apply as a missionary with Friendship International. We are thankful for Matt's obedience to God's call and that as of June of 2006 he is working and living in Arad, Romania as the assistant to our Ministry Coordinator, Adi Muscan. What a blessing and encouragement he has already been and we know the Lord is going to continue using him to be a blessing to many, both young and old in the future.

Adi and Tabita Muscan
Adi and Tabita have been full-time staff with Friendship International since October 2001. Both Adi and Tabita are Romanian and work in the Romanian office in Oradea. Adi serves as team pastor and they are both involved in A New Song" Romania. The Muscans are also involved in orphanage ministry, music seminars and other FI projects in Romania. They have a son, Filip.
Adi's Testimony:
I grew up in a Christian family in Arad, Romania. During that time, I learned Christian values. After awhile though, I was so familiar with these things that they started to bore me. I decided to follow my own rules and for a while, I was happy. Soon though, I became very disappointed and scared with the way I was living. I realized I was like a boat in the middle of a storm, losing control and my direction. I thought, “This is it.
This is all. I am a loser.” I was a loser because I was alone and on my own. Praise the Lord because He didn’t leave me alone! He raised me up and helped me to find the right way, which was His way. I was 19 years old when I received Christ, when He showed me His grace and mercy. Today, He is the same faithful friend likeyesterday, and I know He will be the same tomorrow and forever. My desire is to praise and honor Him all my life because with Him, I am a winner. I want to invite you to accept Him also, to be a winner!!
Tabita's Testimony:

I was the second child in my family, and I grew up in a Christian community in Arad, Romania. The church was very close to my home, only a five-minute walk. It was like a second home for me. However, these things did not bring peace to my life. The peace and comfort came in my life when I received Jesus Christ into my heart. This happened when I was 14 years old. After that, I saw life through different eyes. Everything was clearer. It was like a new beginning for me! I’m so grateful to God because He is my comforter, my father, my creator, my guide, my shepherd…what more can I say? What more should I do for Him? I can give my whole life like a song to honor Him, and I can sing and shout to all the earth to tell everyone about His love!! My wish is to bring more people to Him through my singing, but I can’t do this alone. It’s better when more people are involved. I want to invite you to come with me and sing for the Lord!!

Ricardo and Abigail Sjöberg

We are pleased to welcome Ricardo and Abigail Sjöberg as missionaries with Friendship International. Two years before we met the Sjöbergs, they felt the Lord was calling them into missions. They were already serving the Lord as faith missionaries in their hometown of Puerto Montt, in the far south of Chile when we met them, but they had been praying that the Lord would send a mission to work with.

We believe the Lord is going to use this family to reach out to many people through the means of TV and radio, which they are already involved in. They also have a heart to travel out to the southern islands of Chile to share the Good News of Jesus. Please pray for them especially at this time, for their need of monthly support in order to continue with their vision of reaching their world for Jesus.
